Atameken will continue to work on simplifying tax administration

Today, on January 26, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev spoke at an expanded meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where he spoke about improving the fiscal policy.

The President noted that in recent months, business complaints about the tax authorities have become more frequent. To solve the problems, the Head of State instructed NCE Atameken, together with the government, to develop proposals for a radical simplification and mitigation of tax administration.

"It should be based on digital solutions, the use of big data and blockchain technology," Akorda's official Twitter page says.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Board of NCE RK "Atameken" announced the priority areas of work of the National Chamber for 2021, including the improvement of the tax code.

“The tax burden on business today is not high, but entrepreneurs regularly face problems in terms of administration. This is especially true for start-up entrepreneurs and small businesses, for the same reason many entrepreneurs remain “in the shadows”. Problems are related to reporting, payments to the wage fund, VAT administration. There is a proposal to develop an understandable application for small businesses, individual entrepreneurs, so that they can do all the work in it, pay taxes, submit reports,” said Askar Kysykov, Executive Secretary of the NCE RK Atameken.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also instructed to consider the issue of exempting individual entrepreneurs from submitting tax reports if they use online cash registers and POS terminals.
